Project Progress and Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier, the Tibetan Settlement Office (TSO), Shillong was functioning from a rented premises at Lower Lachumiere, East Khasi Hills District, with limited public access and high rental costs.<\/p>\n

To address these issues, part of the boy’s hostel at Sambhota Tibetan School, Upper Shillong was converted into office space and staff quarters. The office area was partitioned into two cabins for the Tibetan Settlement Officer and the Office Secretary. Staff quarters and the Secretary\u2019s residence were also created using existing buildings.<\/p>\n

All civil, electrical, and painting works were completed within two months. The Tibetan Settlement Office was officially shifted to Sambhota Tibetan School, Upper Shillong on 3rd October 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
