Overview of the project<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The footpath renovation project was approved in FY 2025\u20132026 under TAWS. The objective of this project is to improve safety for residents. The addition of railings provides crucial support for elderly residents, children, and individuals with mobility challenges, reducing the risk of slips and falls on wet surfaces. Renovated footpaths typically include improved slope alignment and drainage channels, which help prevent waterlogging and erosion during heavy rains. Reinforced surfaces and edging also prevent the path from crumbling or becoming uneven due to monsoon runoff, ensuring long term durability.<\/strong> Even in foggy or rainy conditions common in hilly regions. These improvements help residents feel more confident using the path throughout all seasons, encouraging regular movement and social interaction, which is especially vital in remote settlements. <\/span><\/p>\n

          This project will directly benefit the settlers during official gatherings, visits to the monastery, and especially during the monsoon season. As the settlement is located in an isolated, remote, and hilly area, it remains covered in fog for almost three months (July\u2013September). This prolonged moisture causes algae to form on the steps, increasing the risk of slipping. The project effectively addresses these safety concerns by installing railings, repairing damaged steps, and ensuring proper drainage for rainwater.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

          On behalf of all Tibetan settlers, the Tibetan Settlement Office would like to express its sincere gratitude to TAWS, Dharamshala, for providing financial assistance for this project. We look forward to continued collaboration and the opportunity to work together on future initiatives.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

          Tibetan Settlers are really grateful for extending the financial support for Renovating the foot path at Gapa Tibetan Settlement Tillordhar, Kamrao. It will be now directly benefiting the settlers like official gatherings, going for monastery and especially during monsoon. As this settlemet is located in isolated , remote and hilly are during monsoon seasons , this place is covered with fog for almost<\/p>\n

          In the month of Jun-July,2025 the project was work in progress. Reginal Project Committee members inspecting and railing work is under going with cement holding the base of railing and painting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
